How to Join MSACCO
MSACCO enrollment is done entirely from your mobile phone using a USSD code. This website cannot complete enrollment — it provides instructions only.
Before You Start — Checklist
- You must already be a registered Mubuga SACCO member
- Your phone number must be registered with the SACCO
- Your KYC names on the phone must match your SACCO records exactly
- You need either an MTN or Airtel SIM card
- You must know your SACCO account number
If your name on the SIM does not match SACCO records, enrollment will fail. Visit the office to update your records first.
Enrollment Steps
Dial the USSD Code
Dial the code for your network from your registered phone number. Do not use a different SIM.
Select MSACCO & Accept
From the menu, select MSACCO and accept the service terms when prompted.
Select Join — Option 6
Choose option 6 (Join) from the MSACCO menu to begin enrollment.
Confirm Consent
Confirm your consent to the MSACCO terms and conditions when prompted.
Enter the Institution ID
When asked for the institution ID, enter exactly:
This is Mubuga SACCO's registered MSACCO institution ID.
Enter Your SACCO Account Number
Enter your Mubuga SACCO account number. This must match the account registered with the SACCO. Contact the office on 0394 841 360 if you do not know your account number.
Enter an Alternative Recovery Number
Enter a secondary phone number that will be used to recover your account if needed. This should be a number you control.
Keep this number safe. Never share it.
Create Your 5-Digit MSACCO PIN
Choose a 5-digit PIN and confirm it when prompted. This PIN protects your account.
Never share your PIN with anyone — including SACCO staff. Choose a PIN that is not your date of birth or phone number.
Receive Your MSACCO Number
Once enrollment is complete, your MSACCO number will be returned to your phone by SMS. Save this number — you will need it for future transactions.
Enrollment Not Working?
Names do not match
Your SIM card registration name must exactly match your Mubuga SACCO records. Visit the office to correct either.
Wrong account number
Confirm your SACCO account number at the Mubuga office before retrying.
Wrong institution ID
The ID is MUBUG/230256 — ensure there is no space before or after.
Phone not registered
Your phone number must be registered with Mubuga SACCO. Call 0394 841 360 to register it.

This guide is for people who are officially authorised as Mubuga SACCO agents. These instructions are for training purposes — this website cannot execute transactions.
Important Terms to Understand
The unique mobile account number assigned to a member or agent after enrollment. It is different from the SACCO account number.
The account number held at Mubuga SACCO's main system. Used during enrollment to link the member.
MUBUG/230256 — Mubuga SACCO's registered ID on the MSACCO platform. Used once during enrollment.
The MSACCO number assigned specifically to you as an authorised Mubuga SACCO agent.
Your personal 5-digit PIN for authorizing transactions. Never share it.

Agent Security Rules
- Always verify the customer's KYC details before authorizing any transaction.
- Never share your agent MSACCO PIN with a customer.
- Only process transactions on your own registered agent MSACCO number.
- Ensure sufficient float before processing withdrawals.
- Report any suspicious activity to Mubuga SACCO immediately on 0394 841 360.
- Do not accept cash before the transaction is confirmed with an SMS.

Reset PIN
Reset your MSACCO PIN if you have forgotten it or it has been compromised. You will need your recovery number.
Change PIN
Change your 5-digit MSACCO PIN to a new one. You must know your current PIN.
Change Recovery Number
Update the alternative number linked to your MSACCO account.
View Recovery Number
View the recovery number currently registered on your account.
View MSACCO Number
View your assigned MSACCO number. Useful if you have forgotten it.
Approval
Used to approve pending actions or authorizations on the account.
